Hey mama!

Welcome to The M Word

I'm Millie!

I'm twenty-six years old and a mama to Cairo who is currently one.
Being a mother, especially a single one, was never part of my plan, but, with God's grace, it's been something I've been able to take in my stride, enjoy and become thankful for.

I have learned so much on this journey and I'd love to share it all with you!

To be honest, my story isn't pretty, but I know it's definitely relatable.
Being a Christian and having a baby before getting married has caused me to sometimes question my faith , but through this journey, I have also grown to love my faith and evolve as a Christian woman. Through my blogs, podcasts and this platform, I'll be sharing everything I learned and continue to learn on this journey with you.

I hope it's encouraging to some

What is The M Word?

The M Word is a platform, where mistakes, motherhood and all the messy bits of life are discussed, here, there is no judgement, just motivation to learn and evolve into a better christian woman.

How did it start?

I had my son, Cairo, in 2019, it wasn't a planned pregnancy and definitely wasn't an easy one either, however, my experiences before, during and after the pregnancy made me see life completely differently. Especially as a Christian. So I decided to start blogging about what I learned and felt. That quickly became popular...and well...here we are!

A lovely girl called Rebecca, she moved away in year one :(

I've just started this book, and I love it already. Dr Leman is a Christian Psychologist with loads and loads of experience.

He talks about childhood, trauma, parenting and the family dynamic from both a biblical and scientific perspective.

Throughout this book, he shares how a Christian mother can mold her son into a bold, confident young man who loves God, himself, and others [in that order!]

It's such a gem. It was actually gifted to me by a friend at my baby shower and I haven't gotten round to opening it until now - almost two years later haha!

I love how Dr Leman also breaks down the psychology behind how men think and how God crafted them to behave. It's such an eye-opener. It also gives useful tips for communication in all types of relationships - marriges, co-parenting, parent-child and so on.

Definitely worth checking out, I'll be sharing snippets on my Instagram soon.
