Whilst I could give you heaps of encouragement and wisdom, I would be doing a disservice if I didn't point you to the one who healed my broken heart and made me whole.

His name is Jesus.

We all desire to be loved.

We all want to feel valued, seen, wanted and cherished. Sometimes these desires make us look for love in the wrong places, I'm guilty of that myself.

There is a love that is freely given. You don't have to earn it or do anything to maintain it

That desire you have to be validated + accepted is actually a desire to have the complete love of Jesus.

The love Jesus fills every void.

This love promises to soothe where it hurts, it promises to listen to you, care for you, never hurt you + transform you into the best version of you.

This love is the love of Jesus Christ.

God loved you + I so much that He sacrificed his only son so that you could take the place of Christ and live a life of abundance,  a life where you will not want for anything.

For this is how much God loved the world—he gave his one and only, unique Son as a gift. So now everyone who believes in him will never perish but experience everlasting life [john 3:16].

I came so they can have real and eternal life, more and better life than they ever dreamed of - Jesus  [john 10:10].

Letting Jesus be the Lord of my life + my heart was the best decision I ever made.

His love has transformed me + continually saves, heals, helps + nurtures me.

So, how do you give dedicate your life to Jesus?

Believe in + say this prayer

Feel free to make it your own

Dear Lord Jesus,

I believe You are real, and I can see now that You love me.

I know I’m not perfect, and I have made some mistakes, but I ask for Your forgiveness.

Please forgive me of all my sins. I believe that You took my place and gave Your life for me and that You rose from the dead. I want to stop living my way. I invite You into my life, I want to trust and follow You as my Lord and as my Saviour. From now on my life is Yours and I want to live for you.

This is the best decision you could ever make.

I am so excited for all the things that God is going to do in your life.

Next Steps?

I have some amazing resources that will help you on your new journey so email me here, or direct message me on Instagram here.

Now you have a relationship with Jesus, just like any relationship you need to nurture it so it can grow and so that you can get to know Jesus on a personal level.

Somethings I would encourage you to do:

Don't let the prayer you have just prayed be the first + last prayer you make.

Keep constant in prayer [romans 12:12].

So keep praying. Like you would tell your best friend any + everything, do the same with Jesus, vent to Him, tell Him your secrets, tell Him where it hurts.

He will hear you [job 22:27] + He will draw near to you [james 4:8] + He will help you [psalm 34:19]

Read the bible

The word of God is God [john 1:1]. Just like you can have a feel of who I am by reading my words, you can also get to know God intimately by reading His word.

I would recommend starting with the new testament, more specifically Matthew, just to gain knowledge of the life, sacrifice + words of Christ.

Just like I'm speaking to you now, God will speak to you through His word. Make it a habit to always find out what He is saying. He will give you help + hope.

Scriptures impart to us encouragement and inspiration so that we can live in hope and endure all things [romans 15:4b]

Join a church

Joining a church is important as it will provide you with a supportive environment in which you can grow, worship, receive encouragement + counsel. It is also. a place where you can connect with other Christians and strengthen each other in the faith.

You use steel to sharpen steel and one friend sharpens another [proverbs 27:17].

Find a church that is local to you.

There are many different churches and denominations, and finding the right one for you is important.

There are churches in cathedrals with choirs + robes, and there are churches in warehouses with hipsters + rockbands, so have a look and try out options until you find the right fit.
